把需要修改表链长度的手表取来，看好表链上的箭头方向，箭头的方向要顺着冲针的方向，千万别弄反了。如果要卸掉两段以上，就要左右两头分别卸掉表链。
把手表链放在调表器中间的卡槽内，选好要取出的关节杆的节点，转动把手，旋转冲针入节点，顶出卡针。用手，小钳子，轻轻把卡针拔出。
卸下表链关节，看看卸下几个适合的手腕宽窄。
灵敏度
手表的灵敏度是指手表中摆轮自行“起步”的早迟。检查方法一种是将没有上过发条停止走动的手表，轻轻摇动一下，借助摇动的力量，观察秒针走动的情况。
如果秒针在很短时间内就停止走动，说明这只手表上足发条后能够全部走松，灵敏度比较高；如果秒针长时间地继续走动下去，说明这只手表上足发条后不能全部走松，灵敏度不高，或者是内部机件有故障。

如果想自己弄，可以借鉴下：表链的特性是可拆卸的部分每一节在内侧都有箭头。箭头那就是联接杆。联接杆的一端像平口的螺丝。常让人误解为需要用很小的螺丝刀才气旋出来。其实并不是螺丝布局。而是像发卡一样。这个头是两根分开的。
另一头是是双的。如何调整呢？只要找个曲别针。用钳子剪一小段。用尖嘴钳夹牢。把表链垂直放到一个木实上。箭头向下。也就是像螺丝布局的那端在下面。
用曲别针就能把联接杆冲出来。调整到合适长度再用联接杆联好就行了。（注意。有的表链的确是螺丝联接的。请找中间的一节先试试）。
